Confed Cup clash vital for Chiefs
February 06, 2026
|The Citizen
Kaizer Chiefs' shock Nedbank Cup exit makes it even more important that they take down Al Masry on Sunday in a vital Caf Confederation Cup Group D clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Amakhosi had a fine start to the New Year, winning Group D games home and away against Zesco and winning two Betway Premiership games in a row to keep themselves in the title race conversation.
Their loss to Stellies on Wednesday evening, however, in a competition Chiefs won last season, means the Confederation Cup and the Premiership are now all Chiefs have left to play for.
