Warning after people require urgent treatment over botox toxin

HEALTH chiefs say 41 people needed urgent medical treatment following cosmetic procedures, with the UK Health Security Agency revealing that patients - including some in the North East - have experienced difficulty swallowing, slurred speech and breathing problems.

The problems stemmed from the toxin used in botox treatments,.
Between June 4 and Wednesday, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has confirmed a total of 41 clinically confirmed cases of iatrogenic botulism.
