SUNDAY FOR SAMMY HOSTS COMEDY NIGHT AHEAD OF HUGE 2026 SHOW RETURN

ORIGINAL comedy sketches will have a debut airing this weekend at the finale of a Sunday for Sammy competition. As previously reported, the popular Newcastle show will be making its return early next year, for the first time since Covid, and Sketch for Sammy will be back too.

This competition, which has the backing of The Likely Lads and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet writers Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement, invites budding local talents to create comedy sketches for a chance to win a spot for it to be performed on stage by a professional cast in the Sunday for Sammy show.

And the chosen six finalists are to have an airing this Sunday, October 12, at The Exchange 1856 in North Shields before a winner is chosen. Tickets to see the competition final are on sale for £10.
