New business in full bloom for former football player

FOLLOWING a flourishing football career, a former professional player and coach has swapped boots for blooms in a new business venture.

Michael Barron has enjoyed a successful career on the pitch. The Hartlepool United legend spent 11 years at Victoria Park as a player and captain and then another six in coaching roles.

But now he has branched out with the opening of a florists - Pretty Busy Blooms - alongside his wife Nicki, which has already worked closely with local stars, such as Charlotte Crosby who appeared on Geordie Shore.
