Motorcyclist seriously hurt in hit and run

A MOTORCYCLE rider suffered 'serious injuries' after a hit and run in Northumberland, which has left Northumbria Police officers appealing for witnesses.

A man in his 50s was riding his red Ducati Multistrada motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle at around 6.20pm on Friday, June 6, at the junction of Fairshaw Farm, and the driver involved had left the scene.

The injured man was found on the B6320 near Nunwick, north of Chollerford, and he was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
