Man in his 60s pulled from the sea has died in hospital

POLICE have confirmed that a person who was pulled from the sea in Blyth has died.

Emergency services were called to the Northumberland town on Saturday evening, with a person rescued by coastguard staff and taken to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital at Cramlington by ambulance.
Northumbria Police have now confirmed that a man aged in his 60s who was recovered from the water and taken to hospital was pronounced dead a short time later.
