Macclesfield striker dies in car crash

MACCLESFIELD forward Ethan McLeod has died in a car accident while driving back from a game.
-
The 21-year-old was returning from the Silkmen’s National League North match against Bedford on Tuesday night when his white Mercedes collided with the nearside metal barrier close to junction 15 of the M1 at around 10.40pm.
Northamptonshire Police said members of the public and officers tried to help but he died at the scene.
Macclesfield said in a statement on the club website: “News of Ethan’s passing has devastated our entire club and no words can convey the immense sense of sadness and loss that we feel now.
