Knuckledusters found on sex offender

A SEX offender who was found to be carrying two knuckledusters in a city centre claimed he thought they were jewellery.

Jack Hudson was being arrested for an unrelated matter in Newcastle's Bigg Market when officers discovered the weapons in his pockets.
A court heard that the 27-year-old, who is on the sex offenders register and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), immediately claimed that he thought knuckledusters were items of jewellery and hadn't realised they were illegal.
