Iraola has respect for Sunderland
November 29, 2025
|The Chronicle
BOURNEMOUTH head coach Andoni Iraola knows his side will have to be at their best to get anything out of Sunderland at the Stadium of Light today.
-
Despite their promising start to the season, the Cherries have struggled away from home and picked up just five points from a possible 18 on their travels so far this campaign.
And Iraola is not taking an improvement for granted against the Black Cats, who have defied expectations under boss Regis Le Bris in their first season back in the top flight.
Iraola told a press conference: “We cannot see Sunderland like a promoted team.
“I think they have shown they are a really good team and they have a lot of experience with players coming from big clubs.
