Gastropubs rise up the rankings

TWO North East pubs have climbed the list of the UK's Top 50 Gastropubs - with one of them moving into the top 10.
-
The Rat Inn, in Anwick, not far from Hexham, finished in eighth place in the awards, which were announced this week. It was 20th last year.
Another entry in the top 50 to come from the North East was The Broad Chare in Newcastle, which rose from 31st last year to 15th this time around.
