Supreme Court rejects petition to levy toll on Delhi-Noida Direct flyway commuters: 'Defrauding public, NOIDA's agreement arbitrary'

The Supreme Court in the case Noida Toll Bridge Company Versus Federation of Noida RWA observed and has rejected the petition filed by Noida Toll Bridge Company to impose tolls on the commuters of the Delhi Noida Direct, DND flyway.

The bench comprising of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was hearing the present matter. The bench in the case observed and has rejected the appeal of company against the Allahabad High Court's judgment of 2016 which struck down the concessionaire agreement.

The High Court ruling came wherein the Public Interest Litigation, PIL is filed by Federation Of Noida Resident Welfare Association.
