The Supreme Court in the case Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat Versus The State Of Maharashtra And Ors observed and has refused to entertain the petition filed seeking directions to regulate the use of light laser beams and loudspeakers in public spaces, gatherings and events during festivals.

Supreme Court refuses to entertain plea to regulate laser beams & loudspeakers during festivals

In the present case, the petition was filed against the Bombay High Court's in its order dated April 20, wherein the court disposed of the Public Interest Litigation, PIL against the usage of laser beams and loud sound systems during the religious processions and other ceremonies.

The High Court in the case refused to pass substantive directions, wherein saying that the aggrieved persons can file complaints before the authorities.
