Supreme Court: Petition filed against Yati Narsinghanand's 'Dharam Sansad'; contempt action sought against Uttar Pradesh police

The Supreme Court in the case Aruna Roy & Ors v Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra & Ors observed wherein the court was hearing the contempt petition filed against Uttar Pradesh administration and police for not taking steps against the 'Dharam Sansad', which is being organised by Yati Narasinghanand, who has a history of making communal statements targeting the Muslim community between December 17 to December 25, 2024 at Ghaziabad.

It has been pointed out by the petitioner, the former civil servants and activists, that the website and the advertisements for the 'Dharam Sansad' include hate speeches against the followers of Islam religion and incite violence against them.
