PNB's Q3 FY24 Net profit soars 253% YoY to Rs 2,223 crore; strong growth in net interest income and digital transactions

Punjab National Bank posted 253 per cent yoy jump in its stand alone net profit in Q3 FY24, at ₹2,223 crore, compared to the net profit of ₹629 crore in Q3FY23, as per the financial results for the quarter ended 31 December 2023 declared on Thursday. The bank’s return on assets (RoA) improved yoy by 41 bps to 0.58 per cent in Q3 FY’24 and 33 bps to 0.46 per cent for the nine months of FY’24. The return on equity (RoE) improved yoy by 860 bps to 12.45 per cent in Q3 FY’24 and 716 bps to 10.01 per cent for 9M FY’24.
