PM MODI LAUNCHES RS 1 LAKH CRORE NH PROJECTS, DISTRIBUTES KISAN DRONES TO NAMO DRONE DIDIS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 114 National Highway projects across India, totaling approximately Rs 1 lakh crore. Among the notable projects inaugurated was the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, spanning 29 km, with 18.9 km falling within Haryana and 10.1 km in Delhi. This expressway aims to enhance traffic flow and alleviate congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48.

Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 9,000 crore, the Dwarka Expressway is India's first elevated 8-lane access control urban expressway, forming a crucial part of the government's Rs 60,000 crore highway development plan in the National Capital Region (NCR) to decongest Delhi. The Haryana section of the expressway, costing around Rs 4,100 crore, includes two segments: Delhi Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and Basai ROB to Kherki Daula.
