Mcap of 3 of 10 firms jump Rs 70,312.7 cr; Reliance biggest winner

In a week marked by volatile market conditions, the combined market valuation of three of the top 10 most valued firms witnessed significant changes, with Reliance Industries emerging as the standout gainer. Meanwhile, others in the top 10, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, ITC, Bharti Airtel, and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), faced erosion in their market capitalization.

Last week, the BSE benchmark experienced a decline of 376.79 points or 0.52%, signaling a pause in the record-breaking rally witnessed in recent times.

Reliance Industries took the lead among gainers, witnessing a substantial jump in its market valuation by Rs 47,021.59 crore to reach Rs 17,35,194.85 crore. The company retained its position as the most valued firm among the top 10.

HDFC Bank and Hindustan Unilever also posted gains, with the former’s valuation climbing by Rs 11,049.74 crore to Rs 12,68,143.20 crore and the latter adding Rs 12,241.37 crore, reaching a valuation of Rs 6,05,043.25 crore.
