Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh leads an Indian delegation at the G20 Parliamentary Conference in Brazil, highlighting India's efforts in food security.
The Indian Parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha Harivansh is attending the 10th Conference of G20 parliaments that is currently underway in Brazil from November 6 to 8. Speaking in the first working session, Harivansh said, "The contribution of parliaments in the fight against hunger, poverty and inequality."
The Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman mentioned about various measures taken by India for enhancing global food security like PMGKY, POSHAN ABHIYAN, Matru Vandan Yojna, PM Jan Dhan Yojna, PM Awas Yojna, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Ayushman Bharat Scheme. He said that these measures have helped in eradicating hunger and poverty as well as made health a basic right of the citizens instead of being a privilege.
