HFCL wins Rs 1,015 Cr MP Govt order; stock soars 7%

Shares of HFCL rose 7% to a high of Rs 77.50 thanks to the fulfillment of a large order in a generally quiet market.

The stock was up 4% at Rs 75.20 at 1:15 PM, with approximately 9.79 lakh shares changing hands, versus the BSE’s two-week average volume of approximately 11.57 lakh shares. The S&P BSE Sensex, however, was down 0.2% at 67,700. According to a press release the business submitted to the BSE on Sunday, it has received an order for Rs 1,015 crore from Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam, an MPJN government undertaking.
