DJB begins work on decentralised sewage plants to clean Yamuna

With the aim of rejuvenating the Yamuna River, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has begun constructing 10 decentralised sewage treatment plants (DSTPs) across the city, officials said on Monday.
Unlike conventional sewage treatment plants (STPs), which demand large areas and heavy investment, these DSTPs will be set up along drains and in locations lacking sewage infrastructure.
