Delhi launches Green Drive Portal to boost afforestation

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the Green Drive Portal at the Delhi Secretariat under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, aimed at advancing the government’s mission of planting 70 lakh saplings across the national capital.
According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the portal is intended to encourage large-scale public participation in environmental conservation and make plantation activities more accessible and coordinated.
CM Gupta urged all residents of Delhi to actively participate in the initiative to help create a greener, cleaner and healthier city.
Under the ‘Vriksh Rath’ initiative, expert teams from the Forest Department will facilitate plantation drives at homes, institutions, residential colonies and other suitable locations by providing saplings, equipment and technical support.
