The Bombay High Court in the case observed and has granted bail to an accused arrested under the provisions of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, NDPS Act as he was arrested by a constable, which was against the rules.

In the present matter, the accused, Rajesh Srinivas Kukan alias Raju Anna, was arrested by the DN Nagar police station in Mumbai on November 08, 2023 as he was found in possession of a commercial quantity of contraband. The court charged the accused under section 8(c) and Section 22(c) of the NDPS A
