ATF PRICE CUT BY 4.6 PER CENT, COMMERCIAL LPG HIKED BY RS 21

Earlier in October, the windfall tax on crude oil had been raised to Rs 9,800 per tonne from Rs 9,050. Notably, the windfall tax on aviation turbine fuel, previously at Rs 1 per litre, was removed at that time.

Jet fuel prices saw a 4.6% reduction, marking the second cut within a month, while commercial cooking gas (LPG) rates climbed by Rs 21 per 19-kg cylinder, aligning with global benchmarks. However, the price for domestic LPG used in household kitchens remained steady at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.

The price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) dropped to Rs 1,06,155.67 per kilolitre in the national capital from Rs 1,11,344.92 per kl, as stated in a notification by state-owned fuel retailers. Conversely, the cost of commercial LPG used by establishments like hotels and restaurants increased to Rs 1,796.50 per 19-kg cylinder from Rs 1,775.50.
