Panic spread in the Jugsalai police station area on Monday afternoon when a parked car suddenly caught fire near Ghoda Chowk, close to the Moonka Honda motorcycle showroom.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JH 05 CX 0907, is reportedly owned by H.K. Agarwal, a resident of Dukhu Market in Jugsalai.
According to eyewitnesses, a garbage heap along the roadside near the showroom had been burning moments before the incident.
Due to strong winds, the flames quickly spread and reached the parked car. Within minutes, the vehicle was engulfed in fire.
