Govt hikes cess on mineral-bearing land to boost revenue

Jharkhand government has increased cess rates on mineral-bearing land with aim of mobilising higher revenue for state development and environmental protection.
-
Move is expected to fetch additional revenue of around Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000 crore for state exchequer.
