|Tempo
A woman was arrested after her group led the police on an action movie-like car chase following the theft of a sari-sari store owner's cellphone in Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City, on Sunday, Nov. 30.
According to the Southern Police District (SPD), one of the suspects, identified as Xanielle, posed as a customer at a sari-sari store and requested a cash-in transaction worth P15,999 on Nov. 29.
As the victim was verifying the details, Xanielle quickly grabbed the store owner's cellphone, which contained P54,000 worth of mobile wallet funds, before escaping aboard a Toyota Vios sedan driven by his cohort.
