Albay broadcaster shot; family suspects work-related motive

A radio commentator was shot and wounded Monday morning, Oct. 20, in Barangay Morera, Guinobatan town, in what his family believes was a workrelated attack.

Police identified the victim as Noel Samar, 54, a hard-hitting block timer and commentator affiliated with Kadunong iTV and DWIZ in Albay.

Initial investigation said Samar was driving a motorcycle on the way to Ligao City, Albay from his residence in Guinobatan when he was shot by unidentified gunmen at 9:05 a.m.
