Good luck to all our London Marathon runners!
Good luck to all the fantastic runners from in and around Mole Valley taking part in this year’s London Marathon on Sunday, especially, of course, if you're raising money for charity!
Just remember, you've already done all the hard work to even get to the start line, so, however you do on Sunday, enjoy the day and the amazing atmosphere - you've totally got this!
(And, for those of you who aren't quite up to completing a full 26.2 miles just yet, don't forget that entries are still open for this year’s Leatherhead Rotary Bluebell 10k across Headley Heath, at 10am on Sunday, May 4, in aid of local mental health charity, the Mary Frances Trust. Further details at www.rotarymidsummer10k.com.)
Westival needs you!
This year's Westival Music Festival in West Street, Dorking takes place from Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4, and this year's beneficiary, Adopt A Grandparent, is looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join them at the event - just a few hours of your time could make all the difference!
This is a brilliant opportunity to get involved with a growing charity, have fun, and help them spread the word about tackling loneliness in later life. As part of the event, they'll be fundraising by selling custom beer mats for their raffle, so it's a great chance to chat to festival-goers and support a good cause.
Volunteers of all ages (over 18) are welcome at various times across the weekend - just bring your smile and they'll do the rest. For further information and/or to volunteer, please email hello@ adoptagrandparent.org.uk.
Get your pickle on!
If you're wondering what all the fuss is about Pickleball, why not come along to The Ashcombe School in Dorking, from 10am to 2pm, this Saturday (April 26), to find out more!
