Let's get ready to ramble: new bus service makes Surrey Hills walks more accessible

EXPANSION to the Surrey Connect on-demand bus service has made the Surrey Hills National Landscape "easier than ever" to escape to.

When arriving by train at both Dorking Deepdene and Dorking Main, you will now be able to use an Uber-style Surrey County Council Surrey Connect bus service to explore the heritage sites of the Surrey Hills, including the National Trust's Leith Hill Place.

Buses can be booked from seven days to 30 minutes before your planned travel. And, if you are worried you'll get a bit lost, or are just looking for guidance, Rail to Ramble route leaflets can be picked up at local tourist information centres and railway stations.

Passengers can book their journey, either online or through the Connect app, which will require them to specify where they'd like to be picked up and dropped off, how many passengers will travel, and the time they would like the bus to arrive.
