Many cats have the freedom to venture in and out of their home as they please, and most times will return just in time for dinner each day, but some leave their home and might not return for some time - or, sadly, not at all.

We share possible reasons why cats can go missing.

They're looking for a mate - Cats who aren't neutered are much more likely to wander from home, as they often go in search of a mate.

Missing for, generally, up to a week - They're expanding their territory. Cats are very territorial animals, and their 'patch' sometimes stretches beyond just the back garden.
