Jobling and Willis enjoy Pudding Run success
January 07, 2026
|Sunderland Echo
The annual Boxing Day Pudding Run hosted by Sunderland Harriers was another success as 58 athletes aimed to burn off the calories they consumed the day before, writes Kevin Carr.
Runners line up for the start of the annual Boxing Day Pudding Run.
All athletes had to submit their predicted or current 5km time and with that they were all given a secret handicap time.
The conditions were fantastic for racing, glorious sunshine put paid to the cold conditions as the athletes set off on the super quick course around the Silksworth Sports Complex.
There were some fantastic battles going on and there were many unofficial personal bests set as all runners were cheered home by a large contingent of supporters at the finish line. All finishers were presented with a medal, kindly donated by Tony Allinson.
