'I'm inspired every day by my dad who lives life to the full'
August 02, 2025
|Sunderland Echo
A Sunderland man is encouraging people to join him on a fundraising walk as he looks to support a charity that is helping his dad live his life to the fullest.
Matt Ramsey, 27, and his dad, Kevin, who lives with Parkinson's, are preparing to take part in Walk for Parkinson's at Herrington Country Park in Sunderland on Sunday, September 14.
They are encouraging others to join them in supporting Parkinson's UK's Nurse Appeal, which is aiming to raise £9million to fund Parkinson's nurses and other specialists.
Parkinson's specialists are a lifeline for the 166,000 people in the UK living with the neurodegenerative disease, but currently more than 30,000 people with the condition lack access to them.
