Denise opens her own counselling hub to help others

"I had my own mental health problems where I couldn't leave the house on my own, and I now want to help other people experiencing their own mental wellbeing difficulties.

The words of Denise Welch who has just setup her own counselling service, Sunflowers and Smiles Counselling.

Trained counsellor Denise was joined by friends, family, former tutors and representatives from Sunderland City Council when she cut the ribbon to officially open her new counselling service, which is based on Newbottle Street in Houghton-le-Spring.
