Nash calling for quick lessons after defeat
November 09, 2025
|Sunday Sun UK
MARC Nash said his Blyth Spartans side has got to learn fast after falling to defeat against Brighouse Town in the first game of his managerial reign.
Spartans couldn't give Nash his first win in charge of the club, even being boosted by the triple signings of Jordan Summerly, Rio Joisce and Michael Fowler.
The home side couldn't break down the resolute backline of Brighouse Town, as the visitors frustrated Blyth, limiting them to minimal chances throughout the 90 minutes.
The only goal in the game came from Youssef Chentouf, who fired home from close range to give Brighouse the lead just before the interval.
The winner came after a positive spell from Blyth, who had penned the away side in for 15 minutes and looked threatening, but similar habits crept back in, as seen under the previous regime, leaving Blyth behind at the break.
