Deal to put more money in pockets
LABOUR claims it is on the brink of agreeing an EU reset deal that will cut bills, food prices and holiday queues for British people.
Nick Thomas-Symonds, the Paymaster General, has been in talks with Europe's trade commissioner, Maros Sefcovic, as both sides try to smooth over the gaps in the broken Brexit deal left by the Tories.
And, as leaders prepare for the first annual UK/EU summit in London tomorrow, a source said talks have now reached “the business end”.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer will say a “strengthened” partnership will mean more money in our pockets, lower prices in supermarkets and shorter queues for holidaymakers.
