Dazzling dozen as O'Brien says: A Derby horse
HAWK MOUNTAIN is the 10-1 favourite for next year's Derby after leading home an Aidan O'Brien 1-2-3 in the William Hill Futurity Trophy at Doncaster.
O'Brien, seeking a recordextending 12th success in the final Group 1 of the British season, saddled three of the five runners for the one-mile juvenile test, including 7-4 favourite Benvenuto Cellini.
But the market leader was the first of the trio in trouble under Christophe Soumillon and had to settle for third, as Hawk Mountain battled through the final furlong under Ronan Whelan to hold Ballydoyle stablemate Action by half a length.
