ENGLAND'S players need to get off the golf course if they're going to make up for their subpar start to The Ashes.

- BY RICHARD EDWARDS

If they don't, then the wheels could be about to come off in style. That's the view of 2010/11 Ashes hero Chris Tremlett.

And after being roasted in the opening two matches Down Under, he believes that the likes of Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse have both been massively under-cooked for this series.

Tremlett said: "The measure of a fast bowler's fitness is whether you can bowl 20 overs in a day and then come back and do it again the next day.

"I don't think a lot of those guys would be able to do that, just because they're not used to doing it - they're not used to spending that much time in the field.

"Yes, players are monitored a bit differently now but ultimately, you have to have games under your belt.
