Zoo gets £18m to carry on its conservation

TWYCROSS Zoo is set to create a global conservation centre, thanks to a £18 million investment from the Government's Levelling Up Fund.
The grant which is the biggest ever given to a UK zoo will be used to develop a £25 million state-of-the-art facility in partnership with Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, and a some of the UK's leading universities.
The conservation centre will act as a hub for the zoo's expanding global work, cutting-edge scientific research, and education programmes and will also be a community space to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders.
