YOU CAN'T BEAT WEEK LIKE THAT

DAVID GRAY hailed a “good week" for his Hibs team after their third win in seven days moved them to within four points of the Old Firm in the table.

The Easter Road club followed up victories over Hearts and Aberdeen with a battling win at 10-man Killie thanks to an Elie Youan double and Jamie McGrath penalty.

They withstood a strong second-half fightback from Killie, who levelled through Tyreece John-Jules before Hibs stepped it up again.

It was Kilmarnock’s 14th game in a row without a win, 11 of those have been defeats and David Watson was sent off for a mistimed challenge.

With a new manager set to be appointed this week and ex-Hearts boss Robbie Neilson favourite to get the gig, he will have a hell of a job on his hands to turn around a nightmare season.

But Hibs are motoring along nicely and Gray was delighted with his side’s spirit.

He said: “A really good week for us. This is a really difficult place to come and I thought we deserved it.
