Ralston urges show of unity at Hampden and says Hoops remain hungry for silverware and success would get fans off their feet
THE sight of fans exiting Celtic Park in their droves long before the final whistle on Thursday told the story of another brutal night of disconnection.
It wasn't so much anger raining down on the Hoops this time. Worse, it was apathy.
A night when the famous Euro roar in the ground was only heard in an Italian accent, as Roma fans partied while their hosts sat on their hands in silence.
Coming just three days before a cup final made it all the more glaring.
If Wilfried Nancy was unsure of what he was walking into when he agreed to replace Brendan Rodgers then the past week has brought it all into full focus, with back-to-back defeats on his new home patch.
Anthony Ralston has lived through good and bad times in the past decade at the Hoops.
He knows the importance of that synergy with the supporters that has seen Celtic dominate Scottish football for the majority of that time.
And he knows there's nothing like lifting silverware to get the place rocking again.
