SEAN EVERITT admitted Bath had been too classy for his Edinburgh side yesterday as their Challenge Cup run ended in the semi-finals.

The dream of reaching a first European final in 10 years was still alive with just four minutes to go. But the English Premiership leaders eventually killed the game off with two late scores.

Everitt said: “We showed a lot of fight and a lot of pride in the jersey but unfortunately we fell just a little bit short.

“I'm proud of how we defended our goal-line with so much energy and passion. But we knew it was always going to be difficult against a Bath team who can put you under so much pressure.
