The newly crowned world No.1 started the day in Minehead seeing off Ross Smith 6-3 in round two.
And the 18-year-old was back on the main stage last night to gub the German — who had got the better of Scotsman Gary Anderson — 10-6 with an average of 102 after being 3-1 down.
Gerwyn Price will join him on the final day after seeing off Martin Schindler 10-6 as Nathan Aspinall edged Danny Noppert 10-8.
Daryl Gurney won his third-round showdown in a final-leg decider against Adam Lipscombe, who had missed 10 match darts.
James Wade remains in the running thanks to a 10-6 win over Andrew Gilding, while Jermaine Wattimena is into the quarters for the first time.
