MICHAEL WIMMER insisted a point was precious for Motherwell in what is now a bottom-six battle ahead.

That means they are five points clear of Dundee, who face Hibs today, in the relegation play-off spot. Wimmer wasn't disheartened by the performance nor the result as St Mirren’s victory would have denied them a top-half berth anyway.
