MEL WANTS TARTAN ARMY ON SIDE TOO
October 12, 2025
|Sunday Mail
MELISSA ANDREATTA has called on the Tartan Army to get behind Scotland's women.
The Australian was at Hampden on Thursday night as the fans roared on Steve Clarke's men's side to claim a massive three points in their quest to get to their first World Cup finals since 1998 in North America next summer.
And the women's national boss wants the same passion and energy from the stands to drive her side on as they look to make it to the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil.
Andreatta will run here eye over her squad ahead of the qualifiers kicking off when Scotland face Morocco and Switzerland in friendlies at the end of the month.
But she admits that the fans can have a key role to play too.
She said: "There are two national teams and one support. We want everyone to get behind us because we have exactly the same ambitions.
"Wouldn't it be incredible to have Scotland competing at both World Cups?
"I was at Hampden for the game against Greece and I was just blown away by it.
