AFTER the excitement of Halloween we are suddenly into autumn proper as Bonfire Night is upon us.

It's been such a long, warm end to the summer it’s been hard to imagine chilly nights watching our favourite telly with a cuppa and a treat.

Food normally associated with Guy Fawkes night is hearty and spicy - supermarket magazines always seem to have spicy sausage recipes and or baked potatoes topped with chilli.
