“But I've been in the game for a while now although I'm only 24.
“I've still got hopes and dreams that I can go back up to the level I was playing at.” Cochrane could be excused for having mixed emotions watching Gilmour tear it up in the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
But he couldn't be happier for his old pal. He said: “I was at school with Billy, played in the same Rangers youth team then the Scotland age groups.
