Warriors power away in the second period

GLASGOW turned up the heat after the break as they extinguished the Dragons' fire with a bonus-try triumph.

Warriors were reeling after losing their last URC clash away to Benetton.

And they took out their frustrations on the Welsh, who had no reply as Franco Smith's side ran in seven tries.

After only being 14-0 up at the break, the head coach said: “It was a slow start.

“The first half wasn't near to what is necessary to compete in this competition.

“The game lacked a bit of intensity. The stops between the starts were too long.

“We couldn't get into our flow and rhythm. I just felt we could have upped the tempo from that perspective, then we can ask more questions on both sides of the ball.
