Shock footage shows labourer relieving himself at luxury salmon farm which boasts animal 'welfare is paramount'

SHOCK footage of a worker peeing into fish pens at a salmon farm has outraged animal welfare campaigners.

The video, obtained by the Sunday Mail, shows a labourer urinating at a site near Ardmair, Ullapool, owned by luxury fish firm Wester Ross Fisheries.

In the footage, two workers can be seen on steel walkways between four salmon cages before one man moves down the central area to relieve himself before continuing his duties.

The drone footage, captured last month and given to campaigners Animal Equality, goes on to show salmon leaping in the sea water in another pen, with the other three cages covered by tarps.

Abigail Penny, of Animal Equality UK, said: "This is a world away from the pristine, ocean-fresh image the industry sells to consumers.
