MARK SELBY saw his quest for a third English Open crown shudder to a halt with a 6-3 beating by Zhou Yuelong in Brentwood.

Chinese cueman Zhou, 27, will today look to land his first ranking crown - and £100,000 - after three painful near misses in finals.

The world No.32 said: “It’s been a long time coming to get to a final, three years.”

Brooks Koepka and Min Woo Lee shared the 54-hole lead as England's Marcus Armitage was reeled in at golf's Open de France.

Armitage had led since his 64 on day one but could only post a level-par 71 as Lee (68) and Koepka (65) carved out a one-shot cushion on 11 under at the DP World Tour event.

Koepka, left out of the US Ryder Cup team for next weekend, said: “I feel like my game has been trending in the right direction.”
