CRIME CONFISCATION DEBT AT £5M

CRIMINALS who were ordered to repay the profits of their offending still owe the authorities £5million, according to new figures.

Data from the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service, obtained by the Scottish Tories under a freedom of information request, shows there are 89 confiscation orders in arrears, worth £5,065,459.
