Chaos as airports are hit by hackers

Check-in systems halted by attack

A CYBER attack that targeted a check-in and boarding systems provider caused disruption at European airports yesterday.

Brussels and Berlin experienced problems following the “technical issue” affecting Collins Aerospace, which works for several airlines.

Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport, told passengers to check their flight status before travelling.

There were long queues yesterday at its Terminal 4, with passengers resorting to sitting on the floor.
